I’m too much of a perfectionist. I have a ton of drafts of things I start but don’t feel happy enough with to publish.
I figured I’ll just share what I’ve got so far.
It was heavily inspired from @cleverdevil’s punytrack. When he showed it to me I thought it’d be a great project to imitate to learn more about building web applications in Python. I had to do it slightly different to make it my own so here are the implementation details:
- Python framework: Pyramid
- Deployment tool: Zappa
- Location app: Owntracks
- Infrastructure: AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3
The setup should get things up and running for you, but in the event something doesn’t work, holler at me here:
